About

Our local impact

Canada’s overall food system has become more geared to large-scale systems of production, distribution, and retail. There is now a growing interest in the production, processing, and buying of local food.

Clarence Farm Services knows that demand for local and regional foods is strong, as consumers are looking to connect with their food and the people who grow and raise it.

If it has touched your plate or filled your glass, there is a Clarence Farm Services connection.

Quality Control

Both Clarence Farm Services feed mills located in Truro, NS are HACCP (Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points) certified to enhance food safety. We have Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Protocol (GMP) to ensure our feeds are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

All incoming ingredients are analyzed for quality and formulators use this information in designing feed products. Samples of manufactured feeds are retained for further testing. Quality control is of utmost importance at Clarence Farm Services to ensure you receive a safe and nutritious feed for your livestock.

Pets

We love our pets as much as you do. When it comes to the overall health of our four-legged (and two-legged) friends we don’t compromise on their nutrition. Our retail stores have extremely tenured employees who live and breathe all things pets, farm and animals.

We have built strong relationships with shelters, 4H clubs, rescue organizations, trainers and groomers. Each store stocks unique pet accessories that are personally selected by the store manager to ensure we get the best products for our local customers. Our team of experts are ready to serve you.

Our Partners

For over 50 years in the agricultural industry, we have connected with the best-in-class and have become close partners and friends with these national and international suppliers.
